If this is a team you want to be a part of, then you're lucky, cos we’re looking for a sharp, sports-obsessed Junior Research Executive to support digital and content strategy for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. This is a research-intensive role requiring deep knowledge of cricket across domestic and international formats, strong statistical understanding, and real-time awareness of online conversations. This role directly supports the social media and creative teams with data, insights, trends, and structured research inputs. Roles & Responsibilities Conduct extensive research on domestic and international cricket (IPL, ICC tournaments, bilateral series, domestic leagues, etc.) Stay updated on all major cricket matches, tournaments, and global sports events Monitor real-time conversations, narratives, and trends on X (Twitter) related to cricket Track competitor team content, campaigns, and engagement strategies Maintain structured research sheets and reporting documents Pull accurate and relevant player and team statistics for content creation Support pre-match, live-match, and post-match research requirements Identify viral moments, fan sentiment, memes, and trend spikes Provide reference material and insight inputs to the creative and strategy teams Requirements Strong and consistent follower of domestic and international cricket Excellent knowledge of cricket statistics (batting, bowling, strike rates, averages, milestones, records, head-to-head data, historical comparisons, etc.) Ability to quickly source, verify, and interpret statistical data Thorough understanding of X (Twitter) and how cricket conversations trend in real time Strong awareness of Instagram sports trends High attention to detail and comfort working with data sheets Ability to work efficiently during live match situations Strong research and analytical skills Preferred Profile: Prior experience in sports content research or social media monitoring Familiarity with cricket statistics platforms and live tracking tools Comfortable working in a fast-paced, match-driven environment This role requires someone who knows cricket deeply, understands statistics thoroughly, and can translate real-time developments into structured, usable research inputs for content execution.
