Project Manager Department: Engineering / Projects Reporting To: Director Role Summary The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring. This role ensures that all engineering activities, procurement tracking, quality control, documentation, and reporting are carried out as per approved plans, timelines, and standards, while maintaining continuous communication with Directors and the PMC. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Planning & Approvals Consolidate milestone reports and Order of Items submitted by all Senior Engineers. Review, validate, and make necessary corrections before obtaining Director approval. Share approved milestone sheets with the PMC. Lock the project handover date after approvals. Ensure the project budget and handover plan are aligned with the approved schedule. 2. Order of Items Tracker & Approvals Maintain a detailed Order of Items Tracker in tabular format, including the following columns: Sl. No., Item Description, Specification/Grade, Unit, Quantity Required, Quantity Approved, Required Date at Site, Approval Status (Senior Engineer / Project Manager / Director), Procurement Follow-up Date (3 days in advance), Supplier/Vendor, Remarks. Ensure all entries are reviewed and signed off by Senior Engineers and the Project Manager before submission to Directors for final approval. Share the approved tracker with the PMC. Coordinate with the procurement team based on the tracker. Inform Directors at least 24 hours in advance about any potential or confirmed material delays. 3. Photo & Documentation Approvals Review and approve site photos uploaded by Junior Engineers after Senior Engineer approval. Approve Senior Engineers’ site visit photos. Maintain a centralized digital repository for all site photos and project documentation. 4. Qulity Assurance & Site Visits Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Upload site visit photos and reports for Director/PMC review after each inspection. Monitor both Senior and Junior Engineers to ensure work execution meets quality and safety requirements. 5. Progress & Delay Management Track overall project progress against approved milestone sheets and the Order of Items tracker. Identify deviations, risks, and delays at an early stage. Immediately discuss delays with Directors and revise the project handover date when required. 6. Team Leadership & Monitoring Provide strong leadership and technical guidance to Senior and Junior Engineers. Ensure accountability, coordination, and timely completion of all assigned tasks. Support team development and enforce standard operating procedures. 7. Daily Reporting Submit a daily work progress report by 4:00 PM to the PMC and Directors, covering: o Completed vs. planned tasks o Pending work, risks, and site issues o Procurement status as per the Order of Items tracker 8. Onsite Software & System Updates Ensure all project data, progress updates, photos, and approvals are regularly updated in the designated onsite/project management software. Monitor data accuracy and completeness in the system. Use the software for real-time tracking, reporting, and coordination with PMC, Directors, and site teams.
